flipflap78 Posted October 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2018 Hello All! today I ask you a new question. I booked the next cruises at different times, with two different agencies, but one consecutive to the other. I have the next cabin, so I'll ask the housekeeper to move the men to the morning of the landing between the first and second week. However, I have this strange case: the first week promotion go best, the second week promotion go big bev. I'm wondering if it was possible to use the 300 dollars of the first week, to pay the service fees of the second week. Who could I ask if you've never had one before? Thank you very much! CHEZMARYLOU Posted October 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2018 No, you cannot use the $300 OBC from week 1 on the week 2 cruise. If you do not use it in week 1, it is lost.
flipflap78 Posted October 25, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted October 25, 2018 Okay, thanks. I felt like I had read in other topics that some obc were "refundable" so I thought we could do that too.
CHEZMARYLOU Posted October 25, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2018 If the OBC came from Celebrity it is not refundable. If from your TA it might be refundable but could not be carried over to the next cruise. If you find out it is refundable talk to guest services on week 1 to see the best option for your refund. simon stingray Posted October 25, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 25, 2018 Could the op not charge $300 in the Casino to their onboard account in week 1, have a few spins of one of the slot machines then cash out and keep the cash and pay it off their onboard account in week 2 or is this no longer possible? CHEZMARYLOU Posted October 25, 2018 #8 Share Posted October 25, 2018 I understand Celebrity now gives promotional chips that cannot be cashed in for cash.

When you use OBC in the casino you are given promotional chips/credit which can’t be cashed in, only the winning can be cashed in.
packedandready Posted October 25, 2018 #10 Share Posted October 25, 2018 Also, it's my understanding that if you have both refundable and nonrefundable OBC they will use the refundable first.
simon stingray Posted October 25, 2018 #11 Share Posted October 25, 2018 For the tables perhaps, but if you charge $300 to your room on a slot machine then unless something has changed, you should be able to cash out and exchange the voucher for cash at the cashier. You would be charged a 5% cash withdrawal fee on the $300 though unless you a a member of the Blue Chip Club.
flipflap78 Posted October 25, 2018 Author #12 Share Posted October 25, 2018 Thanks for the information. I have never played at the tables or slots but in the last cruise I had a star on the cruisecard so in another topic I found out that I could be part of the blue cheap club. I do not understand anything, but at this point patience, I will do the first week better than the second 😉

It is exactly the opposite. X will use the non-refundable OBC first. If you have any refundable OBC left (most likely given by a TA) you can have that credited back to your credit card on file, or have it handed back to you in cash on the last day of the cruise. We've done the latter quite a few times. If you're fortunate enough to have that situation you can then use the refunded cash for your second cruise any way you'd like. NO, they use the NON refundable first, but do check at Guest relations.
flipflap78 Posted October 25, 2018 Author #15 Share Posted October 25, 2018 in italy no agency will ever give an obc 😢
Rare Cruise Raider Posted October 25, 2018 #16 Share Posted October 25, 2018 Unfortunately, if you don't use your $300 from the first week, you will lose it. You could always talk to guest services onboard and they may be able to do something for you but at this point, not sure how you could guarantee that you'd be able to do this ahead of time. This would be a cash withdrawal that anyone can do with or without OBC, and it of course does include that additional fee. You're not able to use the OBC to do this, though, which has been the policy for several years now. If you use OBC, you get promotional credits. Any money you win using the promotional credits can be turned into real cash. If you don't use all of the promotional credits, the balance goes back as unspent OBC once you "cash out" with a voucher. flipflap78 Posted October 26, 2018 Author #24 Share Posted October 26, 2018 I have another doubt. Not being a real b2b do you say that I will have to pack again, disembark and then wait and check in at the boarding?

If your refundable OBC is more than $25 on Princess then they will mail it to you in 4-6 weeks. Just got off emerald princess last week.
