So confused! Car rental in Oahu

Hello!  I'm on the Emerald Princess arriving in Oahu 12-9.  I rented a car that I have to puck up at airport, BC being a Sunday, the others were closed.  Its been suggested that I take a city bus to pick up the car?  Can anyone advise??  Please and thank you!

You could. You could take a taxi, or Uber. But the first thing I would do is call the local site and make sure they do, or don't, have a shuttle that might pick you up.

We’ve taken the city bus $2 to the support, the bus terminal is right beside the rental cars. Very easy

 The bus is now $2.50 if not on Medicare.

The current one way fare is now $2.75, $5.50 for a day pass. They are in the process of voting for a fare increase, probably to take effect early next year. You can check at thebus.org

TheBus doesn't allow luggage bigger than carry on, on their buses.

 

From the port to the airport (or vice versa) is close to 30 minutes. You could see the official schedule on their website.
