If on Carnival Horizon don't miss---

I just got off Carnival Horizon, (full review will come later).  While on the ship we came across the acoustic musician Owen Stephen.  It was his first week on the ship.  Owen plays  different types of music from country to classic rock,  besides his own music.  Very talented and willing to sing almost every song that was requested.  He plays in the pig and anchor, the atrium and a couple of times in the ocean plaza.  Try and see at least one of his shows during the cruise.

Thanks for the info! I read some where that Havana area is open to all guests after 7 pm. Is that true?

Yes it is.  Prior to 700 PM, it is only available to those guests 12+ that are staying in a Havana area cabin.

That area is very nice.  However, we are not people who lay by the pool all day.   There was a large group who stayed in the pool for very long periods of time drinking and not getting out to use the restroom.  (Well the hours that we were out there.)   It would be nice if they had some Cuban sandwiches for the guests in that area.  During the day it was karaoke in the inside bar and Cuban music in the evening.

..a brew session in the Pig & Anchor. If you are curious about the beer brewing process, the clear vessels give a unique view of the mash and boil. The brewmaster, Colin, gives brewery tours and usually brews on sea days.

We did the brew masters tour on the Vista. It was a good time and the beer was good as well. We sail the Horizon next April and plan on doing the tour in the Pig and Anchor on the cruise.
