Bora Bora day tours?

We are going in August. 

Suggestions on which day tours to do on Bora Bora?

PG offers a day excursion at IC hotels with shuttle between them

PG has a Lagoonarium day tour

Pure Snorkle (private company)has whale tour  

suggestions?

Your there two days ....

 

Day one: Do an all day lagoon excursion or half day followed by a visit to the PG motu.

Day two: Do a morning excursion, head back to the ship for lunch  ... then a quick trip into town to purchase a Bora Bora souvenir.

therr is also a whale trip from Moorea Activities Center. Know anything about it?

We loved both our Pure Snorkelling and Raanui snorkel excursions (both booked privately)....You can finish both in the morning and still tender to the PG beach in Bora Bora for the afternoon of their first day in Bora Bora if you wish....Bora Bora IMO is all about the lagoon and snorkelling....some of the best we have done in the world (and we have snorkelled in the Great Barrier Reef and  love the Hawaiian Islands for this as well....but Bora Bora was incredible!). 🙂

Make sure the whales are in season for August, I'm not sure. Pure Snorkeling usually delivers on their promise though there are no guarantees.

Rannui is a family ran business and does a great job.

If you want the more traditional experience you will need to take the ship's excursion which includes the BBQ and eating lunch in the water with umbrellas. 

Most have a thought of the traditional experience in the head  .... if that is you take the ship's excursion with Maohi Nui (Patrick)

Thank you both for response. August is whale season. 

1. Will the ship be in post early enough for the morning excursions on day one?

2. you both mention the PG beach. Is this a beach we can get to throughout the day?

3. Think we will do Pure Snorkle tour on day two.

1. Depends on the itinerary. If your on the 7 night yes the ship will be in Bora Bora early. If it's the Cook Islands run it is scheduled to be in the early morning but if the weather is touch and go it has been late a few times over the years, rare but it can happen.

 

2. The private motu is available both days, tender goes every hour.

 

3. Good choice for an excursion

 

4. I'd do BRB-1602 or the Lagoonarium.

I'm doing the 7 night with the overnight in Bora Bora. I want to do the OWB but don't need anything fancy. Is it possible to do it under $1000 ??

Any suggestions?

Pure Snorkling is a great outfit.  Anything thing they do would be first on my list.
