Can I do Blue Lagoon on my own?

Having a hard time figuring this out. I am looking at www.bahamasbluelagoon.com and it is directing me to book through Carnival. I'm not looking for the dolphin encounter,  just beach access, possibly lunch, which I see is included, depending on which site I'm looking at.

You can book on your own.  When I go to the site, it asks me if I’m booking direct or with a cruise.  If you choose direct, then you can book on your own.

Why would you? If you book on your own, how do you plan on getting to the island?  You will need to take a cab to Atlantis basically, then board the ferry there.  Or just book the beach day through the cruiseline for a similar price and ride the ferry from the cruise port.  It makes no sense at all to book this on your own.

Note, I’ve heard one perk of booking through the ship is that you arrive at the island 2 hours earlier..

We were able to book the beach day thru RCI at Blue Lagoon.

Hopefully this is available thru Carnival as the ferry is on time for the ship boarding.
