Bridge players (and would-be bridge players) should bear in mind that, on transatlantic crossings, NCL provides a bridge host who conducts separate beginner and intermediate lessons and directs a game each sea day.  In my experience, games attract about 50-75 players on the larger ships.  A great (and free) way to pass the time.  Moreover, I have enjoyed forming bridge partnerships with other passengers.
