We will be traveling from NJ to Fort Lauderdale for our cruise. In February.  The airlines have moved our outgoing and return flights up.  Outgoing is no problem, however our return flight has been changed to 1pm. Will we have enough time to get from Port to the airport?   We will be staying in a sky suite which advertises preferred embarkation and disembarkation. I just need to make sure we will have plenty  Of time to get to the airport.

Thanks for any help.

LHT28 has given you the average driving times to the 2 airports. But since we don't know when your ship is due to dock it's still difficult to answer you with absolute certainty. Still, it's likely that you would be fine with a 1 pm flight even if you don't self disembark. Taxis are usually plentiful, or you could call an Uber as you clear Customs.

You might want to look up on the Port Everglades Web site to determine how many ships will be in port the same date. Sometimes, not often, it gets to be a bit squirrely at the airport in February. It all has to do with weather conditions at the plane's destination.

We made a 10:20 flight from Ft Lauderdale when disembarking from Silhouette that docked at 7:00.  Being in a suite the Michaels Club concierge will take you to the front of the disembarking line when you are ready to go.  If you don't do luggage valet your luggage will be in a suites area at the port.  If you get a porter you will probably be taken to the global entry line and right to a taxi.  Be sure to tip him or her for this service.

Thanks for all the responses to my inquiry about the return flight..  I feel much better about our time element.  We have not cruised in ten years so many issues have been forgotten.  Really looking forward to this cruise and meeting the nice people who have helped to take the edge off.  BTW, we rented a golf cart in Bonaire, very excited about that.

thanks again

I think a 1PM flight is actually too late :).  In fact, last Sunday we disembarked from the Regal Princess (their procedures are very similar to Celebrity) and were at FLL by 8AM where we had to sit around waiting for our 10:35 flight.  My advice to the OP is take your time disembarking the ship.  You can stay aboard until around 9:30....after which the cruise line will try to get everyone off the ship.  Even if you left the ship at 10AM. a taxi will have you at the airport by 10:30 which is more then enough time for a 1PM flight.  And by the way, a taxi or Uber is much less expensive then using a cruise line transfer.  This past Sunday our taxi fare was about $15 which is actually a little high.  Uber is even cheaper.  The cruise lines usually charge $18-$20 per person...and when you use their transfer you will cool your heels waiting for a bus to fill-up and then have to walk from whatever drop point they use at FLL.  With a taxi or Uber they will drop you at the proper entrance for your specific airline.  This past Sunday we could have been off the ship by 6:45 and at the airport around 7.....but we chose to relax on the ship with our cappuccino and donut :).
