Seriously? Hands down - the Keebler Bread Sticks at the Buffet - far better than anything else on their ships!

I love having smoked salmon and capers with my breakfast in the buffet.

Creme Brûlée is my go to dessert

The prime rib is either steamed or cooked from a frozen state. It turns into a strange meat-like product. If you want to risk it, prepare your waiter with the fact that you might be ordering an additional main course.

Yes, that first night's menu is my least favorite of all Princess menus.  We always do specialty dining the first night because it is that terrible in the MDR on the first night.  Oh and the best item on the menu that night, the prime rib!  lol 🤣

The Parmesan basket that used to come with the fettuccine Alfredo that now needs to be requested a day in advance to get "tomorrow"  🙂

I'll have to let my brother-in-law know.  He absolutely loves this dish!

Oh my word, I loathe the prime rib!  It is always fatty and gross.  Once made the mistake of ordering it.  Never again.

I think it's cooked sous vide ie vacuum packed then cooked at a very low temperature for a long time in a water bath. That usually results in very tender meat but it has a strange texture. Personally I don't like it.

If this was true - it would be the same color through out. It is not.

Anyone who has had good prime rib would recognize this is the worst version of it.

Someone really needs to ask when they do a kitchen tour.

Back on the topic of favorite food ( someone can start another thread about least favorite food) - Love the italian style pastas, lobster, onion soup, mushroom soup, and the Love Boat dessert.

I have a lot...fettucini Alfredo, burger at the grill, Crown Grill steak, Crown Grill Chilean Seabass, fried eggs, crispy bacon, waffles, lemon danishes, Crown Grill lemon tart (or whatever it’s called), and Grandma’s chocolate cake.

I don't think I can do just one:

Black and Blue Soup at CG

Love all the pizzas, but the white pizza from the lido deck is my favorite.

Chicken Salad from IC

Scones with Jam/Cream at Afternoon Tea

All the souffles

Breakfast sandwich from IC

The donuts in the morning from IC

Ok, I'm making myself super hungry now.  6 more months and then I have 14 days to enjoy all these treats.  :classic_biggrin:

Yea - I would describe it as boiled taste. It probably isn't but it is the weirdest piece of meat I have ever seen.

You probably have a more accurate description of how it is cooked.  It isn't horrid but it isn't decent either. I suspect Golden Corral does a better job. I don't know that for a fact though. Pictures on tv look better!

I have had the prime rib at Golden Corral.  Sadly... not much better.

Maybe it's me but I thought it used to be much better.

I love prime rib but not the kind I've had on my last two cruises.

Wholeheartedly agree with your assessment.

Good idea about asking on the kitchen tour.

I've only had it once but from memory it was the same colour throughout apart from around the edges where they had browned off the surface prior to serving - which is quite commonly done with sous vide cooked food.

My favorites are Alfredo fettuccine, pina colada soup and the tiramisu in little glass cups in the IC. I have a hard time stopping at one tiramisu!

It is the Norman Love chocolate pistachio dome.  It’s a chocolate mousse on the outside with pistachio mousse on the Inside.  I like it because it’s some chocolate goodness with a nice hint of pistachio and it’s so creamy.

I love the stollen bread that we get on board in the month of Dec.  It is the best I have tasted.  I can get it a breakfast.  I also love Green Goddess salad dressing at the buffet.
