Anyone ever been Upgraded from balcony to suite on Glory

Hi,

We are currently booked for a balcony on the Empress deck aft and are wondering if anyone has ever received an upgrade to a Balcony suite on the Glory. Does the upgrade fairy exist! what are the percentages of getting an upgrade as we booked directly through Carnival Vacation Planner. Any past experieces with upgrades out there?

 

Whats the best slot machine to play on the Glory?

Sorry I can't day about the Glory. However, our group picked three cabins on the Empress deck on the Elation last July. (2ov and 1 inside) We were all upgraded 6 weeks before. We ended up with 2 cat. 12 and 1 ov on the Upper deck. It was amazing! :D

It is VERY rare that people who have picked cabins are upgraded.

 

and yes--people who have booked baclony guarantees will get upgraded to suites. Upgrade fairies work in mysterious ways.

But I think it goes to whoever paid the most will get upgraded before the perosn who paid the least. Thats why I pick my cabins today. No chance of me getting upgraded

Nope--but we did get upgraded from an 8a to 8I--it was right on the Lido deck--we were very happy.

It was a gty cabin.

I've never sailed the Glory but I did receive an upgrade from a balcony cabin to a Cat. 11 suite the first time I sailed on the Conquest.

Sailed on the Glory twice. First time booked an OV Guar. Was upgraded to Balcony on Empress deck. Second time booked a Balcony Guar. Got a balcony cabin on the Verandah deck. Still waiting for that Suite upgrade though.

We sailed on the Triumph in March 2003 and had booked an Empress Deck balcony cabin and got upgraded to a suite. We sailed the Glory last April and booked a cat 8A on the Upper Deck. In all honesty, we loved our regular balcony cabin on the Glory much better than the cat 11 on the Triumph. We like the layout and the bathroom set up much better. Either way, you'll have a great cabin!
