The rules state that you can change or cancel your bid up to 2 days before sailing. It won’t let me do either.

Yeah this is what bugged me too see my post around pg 156 for my timeline.   Mine said expired and the other one said pending.  It didn’t allow me to modify or cancel the pending one.  I sent royal up a reply email on my original royal up email asking why and a day or two later they replied that I won the bid that was pending.  Best of luck...sounds like you may have good news soon.

For Serenade of the Seas, December 9, 2019 sailing - 11 Night - Southern Caribbean, Panama, Costa Rica, and Columbia.  Bid $300 per person on October 10th to upgrade from Junior Suite to Owners Suite.  Received a notification on October 15th that we won and the bid had been accepted.  Owners Suite is mid-ship with a very large wedge balcony, so we're very happy.

Congratulations on your upgrade! For your sailing, were any suites showing up as available on the RCCL website? We are in a JS on the 11/23/19 sailing of the Rhapsody and have been offered the same bid terms. No suites have been showing available for months, but my past experience shows that this really doesn't mean anything. We were on the Oasis in June and our bid for an ATS 1 bedroom was accepted (we were booked in a GS), and those had not been available for many months as well.

Congratulations again!

that’s really weird since the 2BR aqua suite is a lower class suite than the star loft suite is still showing as Star class. I would email Royal Caribbean about that to get a definitive answer in writing. If you do, please keep us posted on what they say.

Good morning Mr. Yga

Thank you for contacting us and choosing Royal Caribbean for your next upcoming
holidays

The amenities they will need will be those that correspond to the category of
Class Suite assigned by RoyalUp.

Star Loft Suite effectively enjoys the Star Suite Class amenities.

We hope you enjoy the cruise!

Best regards,

We have offers for AOTS for suites or Spacious Balcony. We are currently in an AFT balcony, a very nice large balcony. We are shying away from a bid on the spacious because Of the locations and less balcony space. Minimum is $100 total on that. More about the other minimums below...

Sailing in Dec. 2019 (30 something days)

Our original price was $1571 for 3. We are not excited about the Pullman set up. The sofa doesn’t convert either.

Minimum bid for JS is $300 total, GS $500 and GS2BDRM $700. Suites are currently sold out for this sailing. No offer for owners.

Historical pricing was as low as $762pp and as high as $2100pp for the GS’s.

I have $600 in for GS and $1000 in for GS2BDRM. I skipped the JS as I like our over sized aft balcony and location better than any JS location. However, I’m willing to go up for the GS. Would you? Is it worth it to have the suite perks plus the extra room (and bedroom). They way I’m looking at it is that the opportunity for a suite is probably as low as we will ever see it but at the same time, the $1600 max on the GS2 is almost another cruise.

Thoughts?

Not an expert here but I totally agree about not giving up your aft for a Jr Suite.  We have an aft in April 2020 and we might bid on a GS but nothing less.  Those aft balcony’s are just too good. By the way, you got a great deal for 3 in a balcony to start with!

What we consider is a price per day.... to us a Jr suite is worth so much more per day.  A GS is worth so much more per day.  Suite perks are nice but we already are Diamond plus and get happy hour so really it’s just about the cabin.  Also what kind of a cruise is it?  Lots of sea days or port intensive?  Port intensive Cruise the cabin isn’t worth as much to us.

For you that extra extra bedroom would be great. Overall I think your bids are good.  Some get minimum bids accepted so personally unless you really want the upgrade badly I wouldn’t go too high.  If you were happy with what you first booked you’ll still be happy without an upgrade. And if you don’t get it you’ll have more to spend on another cruise!

Thank you!

We also noticed in order to rid ourselves of the Pullman we had to stay GS or above.

We are not doing excursions this trip. More for relaxation than adventure.

After looking at videos of the GS, I think we could make that work and there are more of them over the GS2beds.

I do love the double sink. Spoiled at home as well as the free room service. The price per person per day would be $43 more a day.

Oh, and our steal of a deal came with $110 OBC and 2 free grats.

Every cruise I try to use royal up and it says something to the effect that I should make sure my name is right and that my cruise is 30 days away. Both are right but it keeps saying this. Does this mean there’s no upgrades available? Thanks

Well, I gave in.  The move up process was creating too much anxiety for me-  I upgraded to a suite and paid the freight.  Maybe crazy, but at least I am set and got a beautiful suite-  Our cruise is at the beginning of January, a popular time and a got the suite that I wanted.  Good luck to you gamblers!

That's what I would do. I think you only get the double points that way. I was told if you royal up you don't.

I saw this flyer earlier on the thread.  When I clicked on the links I got "Page Not Found".  How do you find our if you're eligible for the RoyalUp?  How do I sign up?   I'm sailing Majesty in December.

Cruising next week, if we can print out baggage tags, can we assume our bid wasn't successful?

No. Some people hear 2-3 days prior. The worst that could happen, if your bid is accepted, is that you have to print new luggage tags or get them at the pier.

Thanks for the link. So I have to wait until my cruise is 30 days out to bid?

Yes if you use that link.  Not sure if you can get an email offer farther out than 30 days.
