Sorry, I thought it was for a cabin upgrade and not the benefits accrued with the "Key" program.

oh that was my bad I was just reading The Key thread and that was on my mind. I was referring to the cabin upgrade meaning I'd pay for escorted debarkation.

Ugh. Was so happy when I got Royalup email 2 months ago.  Its been two months of anticipation and hoping we get a suite.  We sail in 36 hours....no word yet. I put the max bid in on grand. I feel like if we were going to get it we would have heard by now. I was so happy with my balcony when I booked, but having suite dangled in front of me made me want it. Especially after I read about all the perks. Mainly I wanted the full tub for the baby. Oh well. Going to try to still enjoy cruise. Wish I never got upgrade email to begin with! Its been 2 months of mental angst to be let down. Il just book a GS next time.

We are sailing May 12 on the Allure and got the e-mail last week. We are in a ocean view large balcony love the room but bid on both the JS and the GS.  We got such a great deal on our price even if we win the GS Bid it will be less than what we could get our current cabin for.  That was how I rationalized the bid.

Would love to get the congrats e-mail but the ship appears to be very full so probably not likely.  Either way we are cruising in 50 days so it just doesn't matter!!

On the Oasis Apr 7 booked in a Ocean View Balcony for 4 pax

Originally paid $2450 USD.

received the Royal UP email about 6 weeks ago. These were the starting bids:

Owner Suite - $800 pp

Grand Suite - $500 pp

Junior Suite - $200 pp

Ultra Spacious Ocean View with Large Balcony (I believet this is the room for 6 pax with bunk beds) - $150 pp

Spacious Ocean View with Large Balcony - $100 pp

Entered a bid for GS/JS/Ultra Spacious Ocean View. Fingers crossed.

GS for a total of $3400 on a 7 days Oasis for 4 people does not seem too bad. Considering I already purchased the Key for $280 total - and would refund it if I can get GS since it will have many of the perks as the Key.

Has anyone bid the lowest amount and the bid was accepted?

I've seen people posting about getting their bids accepted on Insides to OV or OV to Balcony - but haven't seen posts about minimum bids accepted for suites.

I had my bid of $720. per person accepted for a CL Suite from a JS in January.  The minimum bid was $700. per person.

I’m at 75 days out and I just received my First email from Royal Caribbean since I booked in April of 2018. Here is my Royal up offer. We are on the Anthem in a 4D unobstructed balcony on deck 6. The only one I would consider would be the Jr Suite.

Just in case you didn't know, that message looks a bit different is you look at it in a desktop browser (you get the strength meter).

I leave on the symphony on Saturday and I just received a congratulations email that my bid was accepted! Moved from Junior suite to grand suite! I also had a weak bid so I am soooo excited!

Can I make coastal kitchen reservations on my cruise planner? I don't see it as an option.

I can cancel my internet package now right? We get free Voom with our cabin?

Just got our notification that our bid was accepted.  Leaving Sunday on Allure.  Moved from a JS to a OS.

Already canceled internet package, big question now is whether to cancel the drink package and just continue to raid the suite lounge or not.

Free Voom, yes. No option to book CK online for Oasis ships that I know of. Need to contact concierge, which may be a challenge this late. Board early and head straight to SL

Guess I'm a bit bemused by this offering. We booked back in January on the Anthem for May...2019. We booked an interior, but as things have come along, changed that to a balcony GTY due to price drops, so the balcony GTY is at a lower fare than the inside cabin....a good thing, and we knew "what we were getting into", so far at least, with the GTY"

A couple of weeks ago I got an email with the RoyalUP offer to "bid" on a GS, JS or...."Spacious Ocean View Balcony". So we're not interested right now in paying probably at least $400 for a JS and who knows what for a GS....just not something we want to chase for this cruise. However, and this is where my bemusement comes in, we COULD bid on a  "Spacious Ocean View Balcony", something RCI told me we COULD get with the GTY, without bidding or paying more. What really cracks me up is, we're just under 60 days out, and have not been assigned a cabin, yet the UP offer states we're in an Ocean View Balcony, just of course no idea, which one right now. I suppose if we were interested in a suite, the UP offer could make a little more sense. I just focused on the balcony bid in the offer....like how do we now if what we get assigned we'll like or not like, just to give up the unknown for another, unknown, which we could get anyway, maybe. Thats the part that I'm bemused by.

Anyway, apologies for rambling....May 23 just not coming fast enough.

Just a guess, but I suspect that the GTY bookings will rarely see any upgrade now that RoyalUp is going.  I would suspect that the GTY will get the minimum category since they could "sell" the higher categories to people who are willing to bid.  I'm sure we'll see the occasional person who will get a higher than minimum category with a GTY but I would expect those surprises to be few and far between now.

I know you can withdraw the bid, but I don't know if you can modify it.

You can raise / lower withdraw as long as it hasn't been accepted/charged/assigned a new room.  I keep changing my mind on my own so I play with it quite a bit 🙂
