Convenient but certainly pricey: two-50 lb. bags with free pick up 2-days before cruise and return to house 4-days after cruise = $834. Wish we were made-o-money!!

Yes quite pricey.  One 50lb bag round trip from East coast US to Miami is $248.

One 50lb bag round trip from US East coast to Hamburg port is $608!

Members of CC have asked for luggage valet service in numerous threads while comparing MSC to other cruise lines. MSC is now offering this service and the discussion started... MSC can’t please everyone.

Interesting . . . the Luggage Forward shipping cost calculator does not accept Sundays as disembarkation dates. That rules them out for my next cruise.

I don't think anyone will be displeased, I think it's a great idea.  I would use it every cruise if I could afford it.

You are right. I guess there is a group of passengers (elderly, handicapped, travelling by train or bus) who is willing to pay a premium fee for luggage service.
