Elite coupons in DR on Reflection?

Can you use your 3 drink coupons in the MDR on Reflection?

It might make a difference if we book a Resident rate or go with the drink package.  We'll be off the ship more than usual for this itinerary, but it's still nice to a cocktail at lunch or specialty coffee and water.

I know people say you can bring a drink with you, but I really don't want to do that.

As above poster said, the answer is yes, however the coupons are not good at lunch.  They are for cocktail hours.

I believe the OP was referring to the drink package vs. the resident rate which would provide for a drink at lunch or a coffee/water during the day.    My vote would be to go for the drink package which gives you more flexibility.

I was referring to the question about the three drink coupons, not the resident rate vs the drink package.  Those are two different issues and questions.  I agree with you that the drink package vs. the resident rate is a better choice as he could not use the three rink coupons at lunch.

Thank you for your responses.

Yes, I was referring to picking the drink package vs. the resident rate (where I would use the drink coupons.....solely.)

On the Reflection there are no drink coupons, there are 3 drinks on your sea pass card, that you get each day from the Elite menu at most bars.

Yes, I know.

Sorry for the confusion.

When I wrote drink coupons, I did mean the 3 drinks on my sea pass card.

Between having 3 drinks on our cards and the recent free drinks in the casino on sea days (I know, not all sailings) we may never have to get a beverage package again.

The so called free casino drinks would cost us more than the BP. 😉

P.S.

they did go back to unlimited drinks in sky lounge (5:00 - 7:00pm) and three drinks at any bar/lounge.

The unlimited cocktails in the Sky Lounge and the three drinks at any bar/lounge is a significant change.  Are you sure?

In the past when Celebrity used coupons, they had to be used in the Sky Lounge and it was not unlimited.  One coupon for each drink.

Yes I’m quite certain.....DW and I could’ve stayed in sky lounge from 5:00-7:00 and drink til our hearts content ‘OR’ go to a bar/lounge and receive 3 drinks between said hours.

Now if you’re asking can we begin drinking in sky lounge ‘and then go to a bar/lounge’, that I can’t answer but I’d assume that answer would be no.  Celebrity’s policy seems to be a moving target, prior to our cruise Celebrity had switched to a 3 drink max every/any where (bar/lounge/restaurants)and we had been looking forward to having wine with our dinner in the MDR without having to carry our glass down with us from sky lounge.

We do not do the drink package or take it as a perk.  We are not big drinkers so it’s no benefit to us, however an elite perk drink or two at dinner/breakfast works fine for us.

During the brief hiatus when X was only allowing 3 drinks in the Sky Lounge during the Captain's Club Happy Hour, you had to show your card for each drink.  If they have now changed back to unlimited drinks in the Sky Lounge during the 5-7 hour they would not be swiping your card thus I fail to see how your 3 "coupon" loaded onto your SeaPass card wouldn't still be good elsewhere.  I mean, how would the system know that I was in the Sky Lounge from 5-6 (when my card was never processed) and then joined friends at another bar from 6-7 using the coupons?

Thank you for the follow up.  That should make the people who drink more than 3 drinks between  5-7 PM very happy.  This change if fleetwide will remove any reason to complain.

They certainly would not know if they were not swiping your card.

If I might ask as we just made Elite status, is that 3 drinks per day during the 5-7 pm Happy Hour at any bar or 3 drinks total for the cruise? Also, as my DW doesn't drink and I can only handle 2 glasses of wine max a night, can we get free bottles of water at any bar during those hours to reap the rewards of the 3 drink per person limit?

We just finished a cruise on the Silhouette (1/3) and at the Elite Happy Hour in the Sky Lounge the waiters did not swipe nor even look at our Sea Pass. There was no limit to the number of drinks you could have during happy hour. We never tried to use the three free drinks in the DR as we never ate before 7:30.
