Bonaire Pier Construction Almost Finished

For those of you who have cruises to Bonaire — I have been in correspondence with the Cruise Operations & Product Development Coordinator│ Tourism Corporation Bonaire - The construction on the pier is scheduled for completion Dec. 14, 2018 - so there should be no more port cancellations after that.

Thank you for this. I have a cruise with a stop in Bonaire in January and I have been watching this closely.

I had been made aware of several cruises that had altered port stops because of the  pier consticrion. Glad you will not have your schedule changed. Have been to Bonaie twice. Lovely island!

Our cruise in early January 2019 which normally would have had a port stop there was not scheduled to go this year because of the uncertainty.  Probably a good decision.

I hope for you the Construction is indeed done. If you have not received notification from the cruise line about a port schedule change you should be okay!

We stopped at Bonaire on Navigator of the Seas on November 29th. While the construction work was still in evidence, it was fenced off and did not affect passengers.

You can see just a tiny bit of it bottom right in the pic.

14th? Of course. We are (or were) scheduled to be there on the 13th on Freedom of the Seas.

We were in Bonaire on Dec. 6 - some fencing around part of pier area but otherwise fine.  For anyone wanting to do a little last minute shopping, only a couple of shops in the pier plaza are open.  Contrary to our expectations, we loved Bonaire better than the other ABC Islands.   Rented a golf cart at Bonaire Cruisers and had a wonderful and full day exploring the island.

Freedom dock as scheduled on the 13th. We had a great snorkeling excursion with Woodwind Tours.

Woodwind is great for snorkeling on Bonaire,
