Status of Red Stripe Beach

Can anyone provide an update on Red Stripe Beach?  Last I heard it was impacted by last year's hurricane.  All amenities were destroyed.  A new hotel is being built on the beach and no cruise excursions are going there.  I'm assuming we could still take a taxi to that beach but are there restrooms? Does the sand, beach and water still look amazing?  We will be on Jamaica next week and would appreciate any updates.

excursions now go to blue water just down from red stripe....but don't think you can go to red stripe...

Thanks, kjacruiser.  We went to Blue water last week.  It was fairly crowded.  We checked with the locals we encountered there.  All said that Red Stripe beach is closed.  Unfortunate.  We really like that beach.
