taraavo Posted December 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 5, 2018 We'll be on our first cruise in March on the Norwegian Epic and I have some questions as a total newb re: our port day in Cozumel. 1st - How can I determine which cruise ship port we'll be using? 2nd - if my NCL itinerary shows that day as "Cozumel - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m", when can we realistically expect to be off the boat and on our way to Money Bar? We aren't into excursions and the like but still want to keep some idea of time needed to get to and fro. The current plan is: Money Bar for a little snorkeling, cab tour of the East Side to check out various beach bars, and we must fit in some al pastor tacos in San Miguel somewhere along the way. Thanks in advance for tips on timing and port location!
taraavo Posted December 5, 2018 Author #2 Share Posted December 5, 2018 After I posted my questions I found this handy dandy thing (I guess I was too excited to Google before posting): http://www.cruiseportinsider.com/cozumelschedule2019.html#mar which shows me Punta Langosta is our pier. That being said, I guess I still have the same questions as to timing and such.
JohninDC Posted December 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 5, 2018 You should be off the ship by about 8:15-8:30. I would do the island tour first, have them drop you in downtown for lunch, and head to the Money Bar in the afternoon. I would depart MB for your ship NLT about 3:30-4:00 -- and keep your watch set on ship time, which might be different from Cozumel time. We love watching pier runners as the ship is leaving Coz! taraavo Posted December 5, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted December 5, 2018 Thanks for the tips! Yeah - I SO do not want to be that person running for the ship. I'm into your suggested itinerary, however, I feel like the East Side of the island is where more drinking is going to go down...thus, snorkeling at MB in the a.m. seemed a bit more sane to me. To be honest I'm most concerned with eating the tacos, though...
