Edge smoking areas (2)

Not good news - especially at night time. I'm not a big smoker but do like the odd one or two in the evening.

Last year on Reflection, if I decided it was time for a cigarette whilst enjoying a drink at the Martini bar (for example), it was a simple matter of walking up one flight of stairs and going outside Al Bacio on deck 5. A 60 second exercise at most.

Now it would involve waiting for a lift and going all the way up to deck 15 and back again. A major PIA.

The best rooms for a smoker might be deck 12 forward for easy use of the staircase.

Thanks for the pictures of the smoking area.  I like that it is covered and plenty of seats. It is a bummer there is no area on Deck 5 like the other ships.  Non-smokers have so many places to go and we have 2 areas on the same deck.  10% of passengers are usually smokers enjoying a vacation and that is only 2% of the ship. A lot of walking is hard with a bad hip.

Smoking areas on Edge: Deck 15 ONLY - Sunset Bar Aft and Pool Bar Mid

From the website:

We recognize that some guests do smoke, we have designated smoking areas on the ship. These smoking areas are identified by signage, and ashtrays are provided in these locations for smoking use. Guests may inquire about the location of the ship’s designated smoking areas at the Guest Relations Desk.

In casinos on itineraries where smoking is allowed, there will be visible signage designating the areas for both smoking and non-smoking guests.

Cigar and pipe tobacco is limited to designated outdoor areas and cigar bars (if the ship has one). Electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes are only permitted within the designated smoking areas.

Cigarettes, cigars, and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard.

Guests must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess, or use tobacco onboard.
