Hi,

I have just posted this link on my roll call - is it a useful one for others?

Waggie,

I believe this is a Facebook (and maybe other social media sites too) promotion and anyone entering has to comment and tag their plus one on the Emaar Dubai site before clicking on the link to enter the NYE competition... and all entries have to be in by 18th December.... An amazing opportunity for someone but not me, I don’t do seething crowds for NYE or any other event....😀

Thanks Anne,

I don't do Facebook but  found the site when checking what ships are in port with us. I wouldn't endorse anything that asks me to tag or comment!

I thought you might know if it was a legitimate site - you are such a great source of information and I thank you for that.

The site also shows good vantage points to see the fireworks etc.as many people are still asking for this. I hope it helps some others. My days of joining seething crowds are also over! We plan to visit The Frame that afternoon and get back to the ship before the crowds descend.

Ruth,

It is a legitimate website, EMAAR are the developers/owners or operators of the whole Downtown area.  I went through the t&c’s and all the references are genuine, even the entry deadline time which is listed as the rarely seen GST (Gulf Standard Time which is GMT +4).  I’m not a fan of tagging and commenting either as you don’t only end up with your own name in their data collection but that of a partner/friend etc.. too...

Hope you enjoy your visit...

Anne..
