CateW Posted December 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2018 On Queen Mary, they start taking them down the day after New Year's. I assume that it is the same fleet wide but if I am wrong, I'm sure someone will let me know.
Host Hattie Posted December 11, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2018 My experience on QM2 and QV is the same as CateW, they start to take them down in the first few days of January. If you are joining QE after her New Year trip they will all be gone.
Csardas Posted December 11, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2018 On our first New Year cruise on QE, they were all down on the morning of the 1st!!! I was not happy and posted that on Cunard’s Facebook page pre the next New Year. I think they took them down during the evening of the 2nd last year. Hope I don’t have to make an annual post! Underwatr Posted December 11, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 11, 2018 They disappear very quickly. My memory is different from the others'. On QM2 they have a balloon drop in the Lobby at midnight on New Years, and the tree in the lobby is cleared away before that to make room for the celebration.
