Island Princess casino

It does NOT.  We were very sorry to see this when we took the Island last year.  The casino is very downsized to accommodate new cabins that were installed where half of the casino was formerly located.

The Sea Princess is also missing a craps table.  The story there is that the Asian/Australian market doesn't like craps.  Same for the Golden, which is missing a craps table.

We hope this is not a fleetwide trend.  Craps is the most interesting and fun game in the casino, IMHO.

Well,  I guess we won't be booking this trip then.  As you can see, I live in Las Vegas and am a habitual craps player, as is one of my traveling partners.  It's bad enough that Princess only opens their tables in the evening - and has only 2X odds - but not even having a table is terrible.  I hope they are reading this reply.

Island Princess had a craps table last winter.  Unless the above poster was just off the ship, I would be suspicious of the answer.  The Majestic has no poker table and I have not noticed craps either.

huh, and your on her now out of Australia, I would assume that there's a large contingent of Asian pax. They like to play games of chance.

Coral & Island were our favorite ships until Princess decided to do major surgery for more cabins resulting in reduced public space & a very small casino limiting gaming opportunities. Have since avoided these ship - JMO.

Fortunately, revisions were only done to the Island Princess

Unless something has changed - Coral did have casino cut in half & mid-ship cabins added during a 17 day LA/AK B2B2B - not good.

Actually I was referring to the major revisions to the Island Princess - not only did they add cabins to the mid-ship area but added two levels of cabins at the stern by removing the Universe Lounge!  200 more passengers and removal of an entire venue - now that's really "not good"!

This is an interesting thread.  For sure, there was no craps table on the Island when we sailed her in April 2017.  We did make a strong comment in the survey at the end of the cruise, so maybe Princess reinstalled the craps table after that.  We subsequently sailed on the Sea and the Golden and neither had craps tables at the time we sailed, but perhaps they are also being re-thought.

Anyone on the Island, Sea, or Golden right now to confirm one way or another?

Yes - you are right - agree "not good" for either ship or IMO guests!

The Golden had one three weeks ago.  Always cold with very few players!  And open only later in the day ... sometimes before dinner to catch the pre-show crowd, but always by 8.  They will close it if there's no activity late at night though.

This is quite fascinating.  Last April we spent 23 days on the Golden, and it didn't have a craps table.  There must have been a lot of comments to Princess about this issue to have the tables restored.  So that's great news!
