there is also self-service washers and dryers ( $ 3 each per cycle ) and also FREE iron and ironing board use

No, there is no dry cleaning on any Princess ship. The process is environmentally unfriendly and difficult to manage at sea. There is however a different process that Princess calls something like "Professional Cleaning" which is NOT dry cleaning. It is supposed to be better on your garments than regular laundry but not as good as dry cleaning.

Princess discontinued dry cleaning a number of years ago.   They replaced it with another process.

I've used the cleaning service many times from Princess and have been pleased with the results.

They cleaning process has replaced the dry cleaning and it doesn't seem to damage clothes nearly as much. That's all I'll even use since I've had such bad experiences with their laundry over the years.

To much shrinkage & holes in lots of clothing. You can't trust them.

I had requested Dry Cleaning in August on the Regal and was told there is now only regular laundry and pressing.

The problem is that you requested "dry cleaning" which they no longer have on any of the ships.

Their "cleaning" service had replaced the "dry cleaning" and which someone has pointed out, it not quite as good, is totally acceptable with most people. 

The person who told you about not having dry cleaning should have mentioned that point.

It's called "Cleaning" vs. laundry. I guess it's technically dry since no water is used, but the old dry cleaning chemicals are also not used.

They should include a small note on the laundry slip letting people know that.
