Norwegian Jade sailing out of Brooklyn, NY in April 2019

The April 18 and 28 sailings out of New York is now sailing out of the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal instead of the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. The NCL website is updated with the new homeport

 

The Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is located in the Red Hook Section of Brooklyn, address is 72 Bowne St, Brooklyn, NY 11231. This is what it looks like in google maps:

Wow....thanks for point this out.  As someone who lives right by the dock in Manhattan, cruising out of Brooklyn would be like cruising out of another country.  I hope this is just temporary.

NCL has the Pearl, the Escape and the Jade all leaving from NYC on the 28th.  The traffic jam caused by all three disembarking and embarking 10,000+ passengers from the Manhattan pier would be nightmare.

I think it may be cheaper to park there than at the pier in Manhattan, but adds a little to our drive time from Massachusetts.

Wow this is a surprise...I don't believe NCL has ever sailed from Brooklyn, before...that port is usually home to Princess and Cunard, with an early call by P&O, when it was brand new...
