Shipping a package to myself

Does Disney allow passengers to ship packages to themselves ahead of their cruise? Any details would be appreciated!

Generally, yes.  Depends on what embarkation port you're talking about.

Yes, if you are talking about Port Canaveral.  There are strict regulations as to size of the package, when it must arrive, 1 per cabin, etc.  I'd suggest that you call DCL in advance--I can quote the "old" rules, but not sure whether they are still accurate.

Where are you getting your information from? As far as I know, this is still very much allowed in PC and I cannot find anything to the contrary.

On another forum it was reported (July 28, 2018) that DCL is not accepting mail/boxes to the ship.  And, if staying at a WDW resort, you can mail a box there ahead of time, but it's now $5 per box for them to accept it for you.

 

Reported by someone who called DCL to ask about mailing a box to themselves at the ship.  And confirmed by someone who's FE group was told the same thing.

By the time you pay to ship a box and pay a fee for it to be "accepted" at WDW, you may as well just pay the extra suitcase airline cost.  OK, so you'd have to haul it around then.  Or fly Southwest.  Works for us.
