Wi-fi on Carnival Liberty

I haven't been on Carnival since my 20's and we have a 3 night booked for Jan 17. I've told my kids to download their Spotify playlists and some Netflix episodes. I like to check on Reddit and other message boards as well as the news. What plan should we get? Thanks

3 night cruise?   why would they need netflix or spotify?    enjoy what the ship has to offer.

• Does not support access to video streaming (Netflix, Hulu), music streaming (Spotify, Pandora), iMessage, Facetime, Skype
•  WiFi packages can only be accessed by one device at a time.

One like to watch before bed, the other loves her music. They know enough to have some downloaded to enjoy.

 

I had been hoping to check email but as you said we'll enjoy the ship. Thanks.

you will need the top plan to check those pages.

Even though they say you can stream stuff its horribly slow and wont stream.

Best plan for getting email is to have your phone connected and it will download emails as they come in.

Facebook is very slow to load.

Took me about 10 minutes to just check in for a flight a couple weeks ago, takes a minute or two normally.

I need it for work, if you don't absolutely need internet its really not worth it.

With any plan they will not stream Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.   I have tried and it doesn't work.  With the top plan you can access facebook live, email and the internet but streaming won't work.

I would suggest for your child that likes music go ahead and just download some music to her phone directly 

And the same for your other one that likes tv maybe download some youtube or amazon movies for them to watch 

 

if you google you can find a free extension for chrome that will allow you to download youtube videos in video format or in music format

Hello, iTunes does not require Wi-Fi. There is no way Netflix will work unless you download shows at home.

Thanks for all the responses. The music has been downloaded on Spotify and we have downloaded a few episodes/shows on Netflix. I'm thinking to just get the 24 Wifi  at the end so I can check in for our return flight.

you can access airline pages on the social media plan.
