jmbcauld Posted January 1, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2019 To those of you who have sailed on the Valor....can you give me a ballpark figure on how much wine and mixed drinks cost? I don't think that I will drink enough to get a package. Thank you.
ScottyZkaaayk Posted February 14, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2019 I didn't drink much wine on board but I did drink a few mixed drink. They usually ranged in the $8 - $10 range.

Keep in mind, you are allowed to bring one (corked, 750ml) bottle of wine per person over 21, but I believe you have to pay a corking fee if you take it to the dining room. simplelife Posted February 26, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 26, 2019 Ask for wine glasses at any bar on your way to your cabin. Fill your glass generously with wine and take your glass with you tp the MDR or club. No charge
rnr4thatsme Posted February 26, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 26, 2019 It seems prices were fleet-wide when I checked - and I found wine to be a bit pricier than mixed drinks- most of the wines I ordered off the MDR menu were $10-12 a glass. I'm not sure if there were cheaper options available as I didn't ask. I remember my Grey Goose and Soda was $7.95. Cocktails were around the $10 mark as the previous poster mentioned. What a rip-off! ^ Alcohol as a recreational drug simply isn't worth that! But there are those who enjoy the Man versus Liver game so don't let me stop you ordering a Kiss on The Lips! .

lv2bgoing Posted March 26, 2019 #14 Share Posted March 26, 2019 just a little rant about Carnival. The alcohol package is just a little ridiculous on price. I will never sail with Carnival again. There are just too many other cruise ships that offer better deals for alcohol packages. $52 a day per person is crazy.

Vigorosity Posted March 26, 2019 #16 Share Posted March 26, 2019 Hey! Here's a couple menus from Nov 2018. You have to remember that an 18% gratuity is added to each drink. For example your $9.25 margarita becomes $10.91. Cheers is a one time gratuity (however, you can tip additionally either way)

Acheavacci Posted March 26, 2019 #18 Share Posted March 26, 2019 (edited) I never read anything about straight up alcohol, like Baileys or an after dinner Liqueur? Are those priced the same as mixed drinks? Edited March 26, 2019 by Acheavacci

First of all, the limit is 15 alcoholic drinks and unlimited non alcoholic ones each day. Two, if you paid 300 for two people for your alcohol package, it was to upgrade your included classic package to the premium one. The classic package was a perk for staying in an ocean view or higher cabin. You need to compare the total cost of what you paid for your Celebrity cruise with what you would pay for a comparable cabin on a similar cruise on carnival to make it a true apples to apples comparison. Celebrity has three different drinks packages available for purchase, the Premium @ 69 per day gives you drinks up to 15.00 each, the Classic @ 59 per day gives you drinks up to 9.00 each and the Standard @ 49 per day gives you drinks up to 6.00 each. Carnival's is 51 prepaid per day or 56 on board and includes drinks up to 20.00 each. 5 hours ago, scapino said: Sorry my friend but there is no way you got unlimited drinks for 11 days for $13.65 per person per day.
