Live "Liberty of the Seas" Jan 6th, Pictures and all!

Ok, we've made it to Galveston or someplace between Galveston and Mexico, haha, jkjk! We are at the Holiday vacation club seaside resort. Ya know, it doesn't get the greatest reviews but man this place is nice. We have a 3 bedroom suite, and I'm impressed. Here are a couple pics and our view.

So far everything is great. The only thing is it's about 15 mins South of Galveston but it's secluded and nice n quiet.

Going down, full of anticipation for the upcoming cruise, isn't bad, but the drive back, knowing the vacation is over, is kind of a drag.

I hear you on that one.  Not looking forward to that at all.  I"m hoping for fog next Sunday morning 🙂

It's cruise day!! 😁 Check out time at the hotel is 10am so we'll just head to the port then. Another gorgeous but cool day here in Galveston.

We have balcony #7408, a large corner balcony. I'll take a few pics and vids and post them.  We brought a couple hammocks so hopefully they fit out there.

Any questions or pics anyone wants, let me know and I'll be happy to post.   Couple more hours and we'll be on our way. 

 

BTW, this is the 1st post I've done thru Tapatalk, so hopefully it works. 

 

Ok forget that last comment, it didn't work. Added the pics, hit send and it said "I'm not logged in or there is another issue". So I copied and pasted here on the mobile site, let's see what happens.

3 chairs, 2 tables and 2 loungers. And we have added 2 hammocks, I will get another pic to show those out there. Pretty sweet!

We all bought the 3 dinner dinning package for $60, I was assuming we would get Sabor since we have such a big group (13) but when we boarded I checked at Chop's and they said we didn't have a premade reservation since our group was so big. So we made them for Chop's at 6pm tonight. Nice!!

Enjoy your trip.  We just got off this morning from the New Year's cruise.  Had a great time and got lucky with great weather everyday...except cold rain on boarding day Dec 30th.

We are sailing in that same cabin on the Liberty this June! Can't wait! Thanks for the pics.

Good morning from Liberty of the Seas. Great dinner last night in Chop's. I'll post a few pics in a coming post. Really didn't do any activities, we went to the scooner bar for trivia at 9 but it was standing room only so we just went up and played cards in the windjammer. We meant to fo see the family fued game at 930 but we played cards right through it. Here are a couple pics from the pools this morning at 9am, chair hogs not out yet.

We didn't have any diamond letters etc in our room when we arrived which was kinda wierd I thought but then when we went over to my FIL's room he had ours in his room. I never got an invitation to the meet n mingle so if it was today, sorry guys. Still I don't have anything stating when the private functions are, maybe he'll deliver them today. 

 

As for now, just chilling on the balcony watching the world go by....

Whoops, I didn't know it would just put the pics in at the end, so the other pics are our balcony with the hammocks up, I know someone wanted to see that. When we're not using them we just unhook one side. The vids are our welcome dance into the windjammer last night (for Chop's) and a quick video of the balcony.

Hi, I noticed you on the Roll Call, we can catch up at the Meet and Mingle. I am from the Detroit area too. I cannot wait, just over a month. I have never been on the Liberty, so this review will be fun to watch.

The seapass cards were at check in. Not in the door.  BTW, fastest check-in we've ever had, including Oasis. Slowest part was security, the rest we just walked thru, never waited

Like I said before l, Chop's was really good. We had the filet, rib-eye, and shrimp as mains. Apps were the bacon, carpacio, shrimp cocktail, lobeter bisque, goat cheese salad and mushroom soup. All very good. The desserts were cheesecake, ice cream sundae and key lime merengue pie. The winner was definitely the key lime.

Your balcony looks amazing!  I'm very excited to be booked in the same cabin on Freedom in May. How many do you have staying in there and how are you finding the space inside?  We are a party of 3 adults (my kids in their 20's and me).  Still loving the review.
