We are coming from Long Island and are looking forward to this cruise. Do you know what is the ETA?

Thank you,

Jeerilyn and Jerry Goldchain

The ship will probably arrive between 11:30 and Noon, and boarding will begin maybe 3:00 PM or so?  Just my estimate, nothing official....

I just checked a ship locator app and Insignia is not going to dock until 4:30 pm tomorrow. Looks like a lot of waiting tomorrow. No way are they going to turn it around in less than, oh I dunno, 6 hours or so? Patience is the word for tomorrow.

Let's see, 0430 in UTC time is five hours ahead of EST. That doesn't make any sense. That would have them being there at 11:30 last night. Or do I have something wrong there?

Doesn't matter now, since you know where it's at.

I  am time zone challenged  but I was thinking it would be 9:30 am :classic_huh:

I believe UTC is ahead of EST. Am I going the wrong way? I frequently have trouble when it's time for DST change.

On marinetraffic, reported ETA is normally shown as LT,  ie: local time.

There is a UTC figure in brackets next to the LT, but this is the destination port's time zone.

Doesn't matter now, as the good news is Insignia is docked.

But just for future reference when checking worldwide progress.

Bob, thanks for all the updates....appreciated.

Great picture! See all of you in Miami! The weather is supposed to be 79 degrees and sunny. Mark and I are like kids at Christmas time right now we're so excited!

I was contemplating walking out to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade to watch you guys sail away but not knowing when you're really supposed to leave -- and maybe you already have -- I guess I'll wait until Marina leaves port on April 5th ... we were supposed to be on board ... oh well!

Have a great time everyone!

Thanks to everyone for the updates.  Everything went well today in surgery and the doc says there are no more stones and I'm good to go for the cruise!  Glad you finally got onboard, but it's too dark to see the sailaway on the webcam...:classic_sad:.  But we'll keep up from your posts.  Have a great first night!!

Bob, your accessible cabin looks pretty good size.

Thanks for the great pics Bob.  Those of us who are following you are excited for your trip too!!  When does the ship get to Miami and later depart.  It's great to watch the sail away on the Miami port site.  Thanks.

After shopping a bit for last minute sundries at a nearby Walgreen’s, I stopped by the hospitality desk again and learned that O is providing us with breakfast (brunch?) in the morning from 10:30 AM until 1:00 PM, in the ballroom.   Also learned that there are 180 passenger’s staying here.
