lunch/drinks

We will be docking in Falmouth next month.  We've already seen the island so we don't want to do a tour or excursion.  Is there someplace close to the pier that a bunch of us can jump in a cab and have lunch/drinks on the beach?  We don't want to get a day pass anywhere.  Just a few hours enjoying time away from the ship.

You can check out Scotchies it's near the waterfront not on the beach though. The food is great and it's within 30minutes away from the port.

 I have been thinking about trying Scotchies when I'm in Falmouth in a couple weeks. Do you know the cost to get a bus or taxi from Falmouth to Scotchies? Is there a beach nearby that would could go relax at after we eat? Thank you in advance!
