#1Nanna Posted January 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2019 Any recommendations? We are needing transportation from LAX to -Buena Park and then the next day from -Buena Park to San Pedro Cruise terminal. Also, about how long is the trip from Buena Park to San Pedro? It will be on a Saturday morning.
Splinter Posted January 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2019 Supershuttle. The time required will vary widely with the time of day. Even on a Saturday, often there is construction along the 405 on the weekends, which can cause significant delays. You would most likely need to plan on at least a hour for the trip from LAX to Buena Park (Friday afternoon/evening is the worst!), and 45 minutes for the trip from Buena Park to San Pedro. Supershuttle will tell you the estimated time when you book your trip with them on-line.

riffatsea Posted January 11, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2019 Using the app on your phone to call an Uber or Lyft car is very popular here in California. I wonder why you are going to Buena Park before the cruise? The only thing there (unless you are visiting relatives) is Knotts Berry Farm amusement park but you may not have lots of time to enjoy that? Meeting friends for dinner at Medieval Times Dinner Show. Will stay in Buena Park overnight & head to cruise next morning. Also, would love a recommendation on a hotel in the -Buena Park area. Not seeing a lot of great reviews ...
riffatsea Posted January 12, 2019 #7 Share Posted January 12, 2019 @Nanna, I am not familiar with Buena Park Hotels. The one with the best reviews that I found on Trip Adviser was the Holiday Inn just north of Medieval Times. For one night it would probably be OK but not fabulous!! @Cabinboy, You really should start your own question on a separate thread as it is quite different from the one we are discussing on this one! Rare mkkao924 Posted January 13, 2019 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2019 (edited) For Saturday traffic to San Pedro, you are looking at 40 to 60 minutes. I rarely encounter traffic on Saturday morning. Most likely the route Uber or Super Shuttle take would be 91 then 110, which should not have construction. There is NO good hotels to stay in Buena Park, there are many hotels / motels / Inn due to Knott's Berry Farm, but generally they are not great. However, there is a Hyatt House in Cypress that shouldn't be too bad, and it's quite close to Buena Park. I also noticed that your signature indicates your next cruise is in May. There is a Hamilton Inn that has been in construction for a long time and recently had the logo put on. On Hilton website it also says coming soon. Maybe you can call them to see when exactly they will open. Edited January 13, 2019 by mkkao924

mcrcruiser Posted January 18, 2019 #10 Share Posted January 18, 2019 From LAX rent a Enterprise rent a car ;but ,first check how long the Enterprise var rental is open the day you are going to the San Pedro cruise terminal . Enterprise can drop you off at the cruise terminal if that day they are open . It is the best way & cheapest from LAX to drive to buena Park & then buena Park to the cruise terminal in San Pedro .It really depends if the Enterprise is open when you turn in the car you will get 10% off the car rental if you are a costco member & use costcotravel.com for your rental Best of luck & use hotwire.com to get a great deal on a Buena park hotel
