We had 8170 on Millennium, and the table/chairs that you can barely see to the left of the picture was two chairs and a very large table.  The other two were loungers like you get up on the pool deck.  I see 2 chairs and a small table.  I guess it differs from ship to ship.

Hoping for at least the reclining chairs, footstools and a decent table. 🙂

I have been lurking on Cruise Critic for the past few years after being active when I first joined in 2004 . But I feel I must post to thank everyone for posting the photos and the commentary on this thread. We are booked on the Millennium on 30 March for the China/South Korea/Japan cruise and all your information is very much appreciated.

In return, I will try and do a live review of our cruise which I've never done before - although I keep my trip journals at https://travellingcruising.me. This will be our 12th cruise with Celebrity and I think I'm as excited as my first cruise in 2004! 😄

I shared photos of the Royal Suite on Sunday. It's post #673.

Thanks WonderMan3! I had missed those. They are great photos!! I'll be looking at them a bunch more.

One question - do you know if/how the couch works for extra guests? Is it a normal pull-out style? Does the side piece pull around somehow? There are 4 of us in a RS on Summit post-dry dock, and we've been wondering how it might work.

Thank you! I feel like I've got so much from these boards over the years, that it's about time I gave back.

Does anyone know if there is any smoking allowed at the Oceanview Bar?  The AQ aft cabins look great, but I'd hate to be sitting on my balcony and have smoke wafting up ?  Thanks

Many thanks to everyone who answered my question - and delighted that there's no smoking any longer at the Oceanview bar!

Morning, all 13 cabins are indeed in this corridor. The other side of the door at the far end is the old door into the solarium. The spa is now portside. As mentioned before the only issue I’ve noticed with any noise is from Cosmos. In general during the day it’s very quiet.

If it's not too much trouble, would you mind popping your head into the men's (or women's) changing room to see if there is still a single-sex sauna in there?

And apologies in advance for asking and disturbing your hols.

Many thanks

Smoking is allowed on balconies?

i guess I got spoiled on Royal Caribbean with no smoking on balconies.

Their policy changed a few years ago when Carnival announced they would no longer allow smoking on balconies.  In their case, I think they had a fire issue when someone tossed their cigarette butt into the sea but the wind blew it onto another balcony, landing on towels on balcony chairs.

Looking forward as well to your review. We will be taking this same cruise end of Oct.2019. Also, excited about the refurbishment of Millennium. We canceled our Regent Asia cruise and booked this instead and the updated ship played into the reason for booking. Also, a large savings and we have the CS.

Any current CS pics from the ship would be appreciated if anyone currently has them.

Thanks

No smoking on balconies or in the casino.

Thanks for your help Pugmadlad. Based on your most valued feedback we have switched our cabin so we are now staying in 1018, further aft and not directly under the Cosmos lounge, so hopefully noise will be less of an issue there.

No, smoking is not allowed on balconies or in cabins, or any other inside area of the ship.  There are limited outdoor smoking areas and they will be listed in the daily bulletin.

Oh oh thank you for clearing that up.  I have asthma, even bring my nebulizer onboard, and smoking in a nearby cabin in the “olden day’s” would drive me off my balcony.

i remember on a Explorer Of The Seas sailing I practically lived on our big corner balcony.  One deck down was a cigar smoker and actually a friend of our fabulous table mates.  I said nothing about the cigar and weezed for 13 days.

Dear All

If you are a revolutionized M-Class ship (Millennium or Summit) this year; please visit the M-Class Cabin Info board page, so information is compiled:

Will you be adding an indicator in the sheet whether a cabin was reviewed before or after the ship has gone through revolutionisation (is that even a word? :--)

What's in this blank space I highlighted in yellow on the Millie on deck 8?

Generally, blank areas like that are spaces for some kind of crew-only access. It could be cleaning supply closets, service elevators, luggage storage, or even crew cabins in some cases.
