On Allure it was no problem. There were 3 ppl attending (paying) the class and 3 just watching/taking pictures/accompanying.

My son did the cupcake class June 2017 when he was 5. I was able to stand behind him and assist as needed. I paid only for him. It was fun and I am glad he got to do it. But once was enough for us. You decorate 3 cupcakes so you may want to do earlier in the cruise week so you have time to eat them.
