The Witterings of a Cruise Ship Reader

Recommended Posts

If you have ever wondered what books you should be reading on your forthcoming cruise but can’t really decide what to take then hopefully I have a solution for you.

I set up in 2018 a cruise blog called ‘The Witterings of a Cruise Ship Reader’ which simply reviews and recommends books to help you decide what to take and when to read them.

To date over 130,000 people from around the globe have read my reviews and are reading the books I recommend.

Take a moment to have a look or start following my regular regular updates at :

Cheers, I am intrigued as to your name,.

Is it the place, the ship or either my wife's CC name or mine that you love? 😛

Noticed the screen name as well. My guess is the grand old liner SS Canberra. A fine ship, but I preferred Oriana.

It’s the ship. Travelled on Canberra as a child and a young adult. Absolutely loved her and not found a ship to match since.

Nice memories.

I must say that my wife and I are a little bit disappointed.😎

Truly a classic liner, unfortunately only worked on her once back in Fall 1978. Last time I saw her was her final arrival in Vancouver. Spent the day aboard her and had lunch with some of the Deck Officers.

Still remember the films of her return to Southampton from the Falkland Islands.
