Nassau beach day or stay on Allure?

March 31 sailing on Allure.

This is my 1st oasis class sailing after 20 cruises.

Been to Nassau 1x before...walked around Riu/Atlantis then back to ship.

Melia  $139 pp  Breezes $100 pp...seems expensive for beach day.  We are not big drinkers...especially in the sun etc

Considering staying on ship as Nassau is our first port after leaving Miami.

Anything amazing at Nassau beaches I am overlooking?

Linda

Do you have a day at CocoCay? If so,  you can probably skip a beach day at Nassau as you will have an all day, free beach day at Cococay.  You could get off the ship for a few hours in Nassau, walk around, get a drink and then return and enjoy the ships amenities.

We’ve done the Melia with a $45 day pass (non AI), just ate a big breakfast on the ship and brought some snacks. The daiquiri shack is across the street with inexpensive delicious drinks. We always get off of the ship, we love cable and cabbage beaches. There are free walking tours too.

No cococay or private island for this sailing.

Again...Nassau beaches...anything special for a beach day or just average.

I think Cable Beach is pretty awesome.  Melia, Sandals, etc.  Sandals private island is actually a private side of Balmoral.  So you would get access to that, too.  The Bahamas, in general, have the best beaches in the Caribbean.
