Self disembarkation times

First time with HAL and we are being picked up post cruise to be driven to Rome to meet family.  If we self disembark is 9 AM too early to book the pick up?

You should be OK with a 9;00am pickup. We had a car service pick us up at 9:30 and had approx 45 waiting. We did have 8:00am disembarkation.

Not sure how relevant this will be to Italy but last Sunday in Port Everglades, we were on the NS and signed up for self-disembarkation.  The time quoted was 7:30 to 7:45 and at 7:30 they started and we were past passport control by 7:50......Again, this was self-disembarkation in Port Everglades.

Self disembark will be far earlier than 9am. Is there a reason you want 9am as opposed to 8am, which you could make easily?
