js4rq Posted January 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2019 Hey, does anyone have any idea what the next sale is?? Would it have reduced pricing? The current sale finishes on the 28 February. We are currently booked in a fully obstructed oceanview cabin guarantee for Alaska but would like to change to a balcony cabin. Not sure if we should switch now or wait. It’d be a balcony guarantee
CruiserBruce Posted January 30, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2019 I am not sure anybody will know when the next sale is. But if you book, and one comes along, why not re-fare or cancel and re-book?

We got a good rate, so can only “upgrade” from here on
DaveOKC Posted January 30, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2019 Since you already booked with a non-refundable rate, why worry about the next sale? You are pretty much stuck with what you have, for better or worse.

Just not sure if we should switch now or wait and see whether prices come down a bit 😉
KAKcruiser Posted January 31, 2019 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2019 Are you sure you can upgrade on a nonrefundable fare? I thought no changes were allowed.

I thought no changes were allowed. You can upgrade to another room provided you remain within the non-refundable deposit fare program, using the same exact fare code you are booked under. You cannot switch to other promotional fare types or offers. If the category you wish to upgrade to is not available with a non-refundable deposit fare option, in the same fare code, you cannot upgrade. There are some advance purchase non-refundable fares (the ones that require payment in full way in advance for example) that do not permit any changes of any type for any reason without full forfeiture of fare paid.
