Rojaan started off with the pan fried foie gras with apple whilst I had the caviar.

Getting the most value out of it I then had the scallops and the porcini cream soup with caviar.

For mains we both had the lobster with caviar once more.

For desserts we had the souffle-no photo.
All the dishes were excellent.The porcini soup exquisite.

After Melbourne it was 3 sea days so not many pictures apart from food.There wasn't much different there as 2 of the nights we were in a group so photos took second place.First a lunch in Atlantide.We do try not to overdo it at lunch so we had the mushroom pasta and a funny apple crumble.

They were both quite delicious.
Then a lunch at Kaiseki-sushi and it is complimentary.Very nice and well presented.

One of the nights we had dinner with our trivia team.We have bonded pretty well-3 seconds and one first so far.The dinner was in La Terraza.They put out 2 boards of antipasto before we ordered.

After those 3 sea days we cruised Milford and Doubtful Sounds.The weather mostly was miserable.These photos were taken in colour mode.

Hate that you had such a nasty day for Milford Sound.  We have been there twice, both  brilliantly sunny which sure makes it look different.

You were lucky Rachel.NZ isn't known as he land of the long white cloud for nothing.

We visited 40 years ago and stayed at the hotel there.lovely sunny days with snow on the mountains.just stunning.

I was just about to ask Ron if Milford Sound ever saw the sun because it seems every picture I see it dark and dreary.  Good to know the bright round orb in the sky makes an appearance from time to time.

The only time I was there, I hardly saw any of it at all, the cloud was so low and so thick.

 

Ah well, just an excuse to go back some day ... soon, I hope.

Thanks for the picture of our old friend, Oceania Regatta. We have sailed on her in the past (it's been almost 12 years) but our Australia/NZ cruise was on Nautica. And yes, the fiords were cloudy and rainy for us too! We have to bring RachelG next time, I guess... 😉
