Hi is there going to be a live webcam for the float out?

Unfortunately no. The Meyer Werft webcam is not running. Nor is the NDR (regional TV) doing a live stream. Meyer Werft did not publish the date and time to avoid any crowds in times of Covid-19.

Nevertheless I already saw a lot of photos on FB by local friends.

So far the bottom of ship name isn't submerged. 😜

Hope it stays that way, though I'm not holding my breath. There is no fuel, water, ballast, cargo, etc loaded yet. When fully operation, it will surely rest lower in the water. How low remains to be seen.

Strangely enough, water shouldn't reach the light blue section because barnacle growth would show really bad with that light colored background. I can't see any draft lines, but it shouldn't be much higher than it is, probably somewhere in the black band.

So, it seems I was about a month off on my prediction back in Sept on float out. Anyone taking bets on river conveyance? How about first sea trial?

What's going to happen to Odyssey for 4 months? Will she just sit somewhere till her delivery date arrives? I know that interior needs to be worked on as well as several external touches, but it doesn't normally take 4-5 months from float out to delivery right?

That's what happened with X Apex, though it was RCG problem because they took delivery first. RCI will likely try to defer delivery as much as possible but not sure they'll hold off all the way to March. The ship is likely to be finished around the end of the year - she was due to be finished more than a month ago.
