Travlchic Posted February 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2019 I am travelling with a group in 6 cabins. Does anyone know if the partitions can be removed on this ship?
MicheinMA Posted February 5, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2019 When we were on the Pride last April they were able to remove the partition between 2 rooms for us. We requested it and they had it done the next day for us.
JMAE Posted February 6, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2019 The balcony partitions are hinged and can be opened. If I recall correctly the hing is on the railing side.
RWolver672 Posted February 6, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2019 Request is as soon as you board. They use clamps to hold the divider to the railing and the number of clamps are limited. It used to be you could just request it from your cabin steward. On all of the ships that we've been on lately, you had to go to Guest Services to request it and one person from each cabin had to go there at the same time.
Bookbug53 Posted February 6, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2019 Not all dividers can be opened. You can check here to see if there are any limitations on the dividers between your particular cabins. Occasionally there are small doors between them. When we had 3 cabins on Glory one partition swung open (towards the window) and one partition had a small door to open. https://help.goccl.com/app/answers/category/c/296
Bookbug53 Posted February 6, 2019 #6 Share Posted February 6, 2019 This shows all 3 cabin balconies. Partition swings towards the bulkhead between 2 of them and the small door open between the other 2.
penguin85 Posted February 6, 2019 #7 Share Posted February 6, 2019 On the Pride they swing out to the railing. We have done this many times on the Pride. Only one time did they take the partition away as we complained through our travel agent about being told no more clamps. We had 6 cabins in a row.

Pride is a Spirit class ship and balcony dividers operate totally differently from Conquest class ships. This is what the balcony partitions look like when open: EM Edited February 6, 2019 by Essiesmom
ElCrappyTan Posted February 6, 2019 #10 Share Posted February 6, 2019 Not sure why anyone would want to do this on a Spirit ship. You lose almost half your balcony view. You need to get to your next door neighbors balcony? Go through the front door.
cb at sea Posted February 6, 2019 #11 Share Posted February 6, 2019 I was gonna say, I'd rather go into the hall to get to the other cabins, than have 1/2 the balcony view blocked!
mvaughn11 Posted February 6, 2019 #12 Share Posted February 6, 2019 Ask your room steward. They can have the partitions unlocked for you.
