The last couple of cruises in the last year Neptune Suites have gotten a very nice tote bag--or else the stewards like us.

And when I was clearing out my parents' house when they moved into memory care, I found one of those nice canvas bags. Score!!

Krazy Kruisers - I agree. The canvas bags are nice. I still have a few.

If you're a married couple cruising, you get one bag per cabin. If you're friends cruising together you each get a bag. That doesn't make sense. Everyone pays the same fare.

So true,

We still bring ours on board  and use them , as they are much more durable. We often get some nice comments on on old style bags.

John, yes, they are similar to the reusable bags you get at the grocery store. They are in your room when you arrive.

But don't hold up quite as well .. I can get almost 10 trips per bag before the break apart..

We use our "blue bags" for grocery's all the time.   They will handle heavy items within reason.   Bag of milk, some can goods, but don't over do it.   Better than having to collect the plastic bags (which they charge for).

They are also a good conversational piece as well.

Thank you Kraz kruizers, oceanmom, gulf shorecruiser, Iris5383, Miss  G, drowelf, and boards.  It was very helpful.  So in our cabin on the bed.  We receive cruise card, tote bag, Where and When.  Plus information on laundry.  Anything else.  Thank you, John

Cruise Card -- on HAL it is called ID card.

You will get your ID card when you check in at the terminal.  You will have to scan that card when you get on the ship.  Before you get your ID card, your picture will be taken and each time you scan your ID card to get on and off the ship, your picture will show up.  Wherever you use your ID card on the ship -- bar/lounge, gift shop, etc., -- your picture will also show up on their computers.

The laundry list and blue laundry bag will be on a pants hanger in one of the closets just above the wicker basket for shoe polishing.

Your excursion tickets will be in a pink envelope on your desk.

DW has saved many tote bags (mostly from cruises) over the years and the quality on nearly all the cruise lines has declined over the years.  But our favorites are HAL bags that used to be given out on Grand Voyages especially a few heavy duty blue bags that have zipper closures.  Not sure what they currently give out on those long cruises.  We also have some decent Celebrity bags...which are very heavy duty but have no zippers.

Seems the blue bag shows up the night before the first shore day.

We were in a Neptune Suite last year and got the dark or navy blue non-woven bag like the reusable grocery bags.
