pblack Posted May 21, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 21, 2019 Checking in...DH and I will be setting sail on our first cruise out of Florida! We're hoping to get 1-2 days in at Walt Disney World before the cruise. This cruise sets sail 3 days after my birthday. Booked a balcony cabin (2nd time for us, we usually book interiors) but since we're coming all the way from California I wanted to make it worthwhile. Can't wait to begin exploring the Mardi Gras!!

2Shoes2Go Posted December 24, 2019 #15 Share Posted December 24, 2019 Hi, y’all! We’ve been booked for a few months, just forgot to join this roll call. Looking forward to seeing this new ship. Looks like it may be more than we bargained for. 😂 We don’t usually book first cruises on a new ship, but surprise! Hope to meet some new folks! Join the Meet and Mingle! 😀

tree.critter Posted January 12, 2020 #17 Share Posted January 12, 2020 Well, this inaugural cruise is completely sold out. What a surprise to everyone that booked before the cancelations were announced. I'm booked for this cruise and really looking forward to brand new ship. Will probably be first and last time for this chance.
Just1Wonder Posted January 18, 2020 #18 Share Posted January 18, 2020 Hey all, just booked this cruise last month after the Inaugural out of New York was cancelled. Was lucky to get on this one, it was almost sold out. In my experience, Inaugural cruises are always special due to the extra staff and attention you recieve (and sometimes freebies). Looking forward to this cruise. 😎
a97falcon Posted January 18, 2020 #19 Share Posted January 18, 2020 Greetings all! Gary and Christine, Viera (Melbourne), FL area. We are booked, ready, and already excited to go! We cruise quite a bit but this will be our first "Inaugural" cruise so the excitement is higher. Since we live close to the port, we already plan on being there to see her when she arrives! 🛳️🤩

bigman3232007 Posted February 24, 2020 #21 Share Posted February 24, 2020 When is the ship do to arrive in port ? When the ceremony?
a97falcon Posted February 24, 2020 #22 Share Posted February 24, 2020 I don't have specifics, but I am assuming a couple of days before the 14th. They need a day or more to do their VIP and corporate things like the christening and such.
snowwhite813 Posted March 10, 2020 #23 Share Posted March 10, 2020 Hi everyone, My name is Sharon and I am traveling with 3 girlfriends; Kathy, Lori and Sheila. We booked this cruise a while ago. Will be flying in the day before I presume and looking for a great hotel in Port Canaveral that has fly, snooze and cruise from Orlando Airport. We have stayed at Comfort Inn before, which has now changed names. Where is everyone staying?
kicia Posted March 20, 2020 #24 Share Posted March 20, 2020 (edited) The first cruise now available to be booked is March 6, 2021. There were other available just a couple of days ago Someone else posted about a blurb from Carnival's 8K filing dated today, March 19, 2020. Here is the excerpt. The Corporation also believes the effects of COVID-19 on the shipyards where its ships are under construction, will result in a delay in ship deliveries. Interesting. The answer to the missing Mardi Gras cruises? Edited March 20, 2020 by kicia
Michelle R Posted April 4, 2020 #25 Share Posted April 4, 2020 Has anyone heard if Mardi Gras is still being built amidst all the lockdowns and quarantines? I see Carnival cancelling cruise after cruise and I think its just a matter of time before they cancel this one too. Fingers crossed they don't....
