Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum. I just booked Room 6270..I believe it is portside / aft. On the Royal Caribbean , Anthem of Seas cruise May 23 to Bermuda/Caribbean. I have sleeping issues and hoping this won't be noisy. I know it is an obstructed view and I'm near lifeboats. Any tips for anti motion sickness or activities that are easy on the back would be appreciated. I am going solo...thanks in advance for any tips.

Sorry I should have added more things to this...I want to sign up for pilates/yoga etc but when I tried to do it in the planner, it said I could only do the first day? for a pack of 3 fitness classes? also, can you bring food in your carry on luggage? i assume the cruise doesn't have airline restrictions of no liquids? anything else I need to know for my first time?

I must confess, I had quite a chuckle at the title of your thread.  Correct room?  Is it on a cruise ship?  Then, yes, you picked the correct room :classic_cool:  Granted, some rooms are better than others, and I can't comment on the room you chose, but thanks for the grin :classic_biggrin:

Good idea to bring soft foam earplugs on any cruise, or for that matter, any hotel vacation in the entire world, just in case.   Anthem is quite a ship and you likely won't need to be in the room much except for sleep and getting ready for various activities.  Getting a little daytime sunlight from your obstructed view window is a nice perk over an inside cabin.

Bring Bonine for motion sickness and take it each night with or after supper - even though it is less drowsy than Dramamine, it is still an antihistamine which is taken daily and may cause sleepiness when you first take it.  In your case this could be a benefit as it may help you stay asleep.

There will probably be daily trivia activities where you can often hook up with a team and so get a bit of social interaction, while just sitting there, so no back issues. :)  People watching is available everywhere on these ships; there is a casino and nighttime shows.  Lots of hot tubs to soak away your pain.  If you are looking for shore excursions they include details on accessibility and strenuous level.

I got this same chuckle! It's away from work, away from the general chaos of life, and away from stress (hopefully). And your response gave me a bigger smile 🙂

Fully agree.  How far wrong can you really go?  Most sailings sell out on every single ship, every time.  I've taken a gamble on an inside guarantee and was given a fantastic location; I've chosen rooms myself and found pros and cons once I lived in them for a few days.  Kids and partiers might be loud in any hallway so no room is immune for potential noise.  Foam earplugs can solve many such issues.  Anyway, I'd rather be on a cruise than not, and when the ships are almost full, people happily take that very last cabin remaining, whatever and wherever it is.
