HELLO ALL, JUST BOOKED THIS CRUISE WITH MY DAUGHTER, BRO AND SISTER IN LAW AND 2 GRANDSONS IN THEIR 20'S. I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO BEING ON THIS SHIP.  I AM SUPER EXCITED. THERE MAY BE OTHERS GOING WITH US BUT I CAN ONLY BE SURE OF THE ONES MENTIONED ABOVE. I WILL SEE WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED IN THE SLOT PULL AND CABIN CRAWL.

For folks who are chronic early planners like me (hey, I’ve been in logistics my whole working life), we just got a very nice price on the Skyline Hotel on Tenth Ave between 49 and 50. Four nights came in at around USD$250 a night, and it’s very handy to everything we want to fit in before boarding the ship on the 24th.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO Fellow Cruisers:  Just got off the Carnival Sunrise this morning.  Was awfully disappointed in the attendance at the Cruise Critic meeting.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO RRLLAL:  Not too bad overall.  We were mired in bad weather during most of the cruise.  Really rocky for a day and a half.  Cruise Critic meeting was a big disappointment.  Lots of action in the casino during most of the cruise.  Food was good,  The staff was good, our room steward was better.

Excellent. Good to hear except for the rockiness.

Me and new hubby just booked to celebrate our first anniversary! Going to follow up with a long weekend in Niagara Falls Canada.  First time in an extended balcony Deck 15! So excited!

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO mrsblackson:  Welcome to this cruise and cruise board.  This will be a really good cruise on board this new ship.  If you like casinos there is one near Niagara Falls.  There are some vineyards there too.

Fellow Cruisers, that includes you mrsblackson, we have 11 more months to go until our cruise.

I really hope we get Shaq on this cruise. They have been using him for all the promo stuff and it would kinda make sense for him to be on the US launch of their newest and biggest ship to date.

I'd like more info about the slot pull! Have never experienced that before...the cabin crawl sounds like fun, too!

Has anyone started looking at excursions yet?

I prefer private tours and love to do research...

So far, I'm interested in whale watching, jet boats, lobstering and visiting the Skywalk over the Bay of Fundy.

The slot tournament is easy and there’s no strategy involved. You get a set time to accumulate the most money. You just hit the buttons and pull the handle as fast as you can.  From my recollection, 10 contestants pull against each other at one time. It’s fun.

The slot pull and the slot tournament are 2 different things. The slot pull is organized by someone in your roll call and all who wants to get involved puts in a predetermined amount, and it's put into one slot machine, sometimes $10 -$20 per person, everyone gets a certain amount of pulls and the winnings after everyone gets their pulls  are split between everyone.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO:  AAAAmerican:  Yes, we did get that.  We were looking at the Legend too.  It is a Spirit Class ship.  There is more room per passenger than on any other Carnival class ship.  We are thinking of it also.  However, we also have two other trips planned.

We've done these ports before. The bay of fundy is OK, for me it was one of those things that my wife had wanted to do forever and I just kinda went along with it and was like "oh...wow...this is great 🙂". The cities of St. Johns and Portland are both very walkable. In Portland we did the Kennybunkport tour with Carnival and its the first time I was SUPER GLAD we went through Carnival because our tour was like a half hour late getting back. And like nothing major happened...it was just traffic I think but if we were on a 3rd party tour we would have been screwed. We mainly booked this because we wanted to check the new ship out and its close to home...we probably wont be doing much in the port but walking around. St. Johns is more historic and has a bunch of shops, a mall and a farmers market. Portland was much more hipster-ery but still a pretty cool port, less shopping near by if I remember but they had street vendors lined up along the sidewalks. If you need any more info lmk...GO Birds 🙂

We've been to Niagara falls a bunch as well. I also am big into research before I go anywhere 🙂 If you need tips on where to eat, stay, whatever lmk. Also if you drive about a half hour north to Niagara on the Lake I think there are something like 45 wineries in 4 square miles.

Dear Casino Player,

Thank You.

Did you sere the nice note on the US Mail piece? Qualified for ULTRA 2021! Cruising between 10/01/2019 and 09/30/2020!!

Yes we have been aboard the Legend and sister Miracle going from S.F., Ca to Ak. they were new, nice sized and as you know per passenger room is awesome. Both ladies are getting older..

You may use your CCL :NYSE/LSE Shareholder benefit on all of them. A nice Non-Taxable usage too as they are considered a gifting..

Legend leaves from Mid-Town. I am getting BIDs now on those and our agent called when i was out yesterday at a Jewish friends funeral. David , a R.P.,  said such a truism. He had been with us on a few HAL cruises too, "it is less costly to cruise than to stay home!!"
