TrpngBilly Posted February 16, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2019 NCL continues to nickel & dime in really creative ways. We’ve purchased the bottled water package on several past NCL cruises, usually they carry Aquafina, which we prefer to shipboard water. Now for the bottled water package they bottle their own for the same price. It’s not a deal breaker but it’s a bit disappointing.
Two Wheels Only Posted February 16, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2019 The NCL water probably comes from the same source as Aquafina water... (P.W.S.)
Senoj84 Posted February 16, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2019 I'm going to purchase a bottled water package. Are there any places to refill them on board? A water fountain or water faucet at the buffet?
thephillykid Posted February 16, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2019 How much are individual water bottles on board? Can we buy a 6/12 pack in the gift shops? TIA
northernrose Posted February 16, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 16, 2019 I am also interested in if there are place you can fill water bottles aboard.

A water fountain or water faucet at the buffet? Bring refillable water bottles for your family. The gym is the easiest place to refill. At the buffet the sanitary option is fill a NCL glass and use it to refill your bottle. Perhaps save the purchased bottles for your shore excursions or buy water once you're ashore for those days. Now I want to be transparent, I drink NCL bottled water because I'm able to get it complimentary in the casino. I also drink water served by the glass at the restaurants and bars. Most of the time I keep the bottled water for my bedside table or to take on my excursions, rarely would I drink those while just milling around on the ship. MrmrsSteelman Posted February 17, 2019 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2019 We bought the 6 pk before we boarded. I think it was 14.95. I didn’t mind the price and they were a good size. We kept them in our fridge in our room. The buffet area has a water area, though it does say do not fill water bottles. We did not fill the water bottles back up. We would take one into port or drink in the room at night. We brought a reusable cu to use to drink water on the ship in the pool areas. We would fill that up at the Buffett. Senoj84 Posted February 21, 2019 #8 Share Posted February 21, 2019 Thank you both for the replies! I'll use both of your suggestions. Really wish I could bring bottled water on board, but it's not allowed.

RedRover96 Posted March 18, 2019 #11 Share Posted March 18, 2019 It's not a "package" you purchase 6, 12, or 24,1 liter bottles that are left in your cabin.
drcarp4 Posted March 18, 2019 #12 Share Posted March 18, 2019 We use the Brita Filtered Water Bottles and just fill them up in the room. They sell them at Walmart as well as the filters.

You can't tell where that water was bottled by looking at the label that you have posted. Any company can buy bottled water from a distributor and have their own labels put on the bottles. I would be very surprised if NCL has a water botteling facility. You are probably getting whatever bottled water pepsi produces.

I didn't mean to suggest that NCL has a water bottling division, I simply meant that they are no longer selling a brand name bottled water but still charging the same price. Some people find the tap water onboard to have a funky taste, myself among them, so I prefer bottled water to tap water. And, for the record, when I purchased the bottled water package for our last cruise, Aquafina was the brand featured in the picture...again, not a deal breaker. realnurse2 Posted March 19, 2019 #21 Share Posted March 19, 2019 You can refill your water bottles at the buffet water station if you take the time to use a glass to pour the water into your bottle rather than directly into the bottle that you have been drinking out of. Try to go in between meals so not to hold up the line!
drcarp4 Posted March 20, 2019 #22 Share Posted March 20, 2019 (edited) There's probably an old man filling those bottles in an obscure location down by the engine room... Edited March 20, 2019 by drcarp4 1

There you will find a tab that says 'Explore and Plan'. Inside there there is a section called 'Beverage Packages and Venues'. In there, you can find all the beverage options you can purchase.
