“Stay awhile” shore excursion

Has anyone used the “stay awhile” RCI shore excursion on the Jewel before going to the airport in Rome? How much longer can you stay on board for $44/pp?

Fascinating.  So we can disembark after lunch? Hang out on the ship. How do they manage the overlap of passengers. Thought they had to empty of passengers before the new ones came on?

I don’t think any packages still work. You still must vacate your cabin by around 8 a.m. and keep your carry on bags with you.

We did it in Dubai.  Could stay on the ship until 90 mins before ship departure.

No...We recently found out the Voom will stop working at just after midnight the day your cruise ends. It did on our recent Freedom cruise.

That's a US port thing, not true in other parts of the world, especially in Europe where they interport (more than one embarkation port).

Exactly.  I've never seen the late departure option on cruises from North America but it's quite common when sailing from other continents.
