The paella served  in Windjammer on day 1; the Cuban panino sandwich from Park Café; cream of mushroom soup at Chops Grille--just a few of my favorites.

Almost forgot--savory bites in the bread basket in the MDR--if you request them early in the cruise, they will make them for you.

Roasted Poblano Pepper Soup in the MDR, Savory Bites, Lasagna MDR... however my absolute fave is the sautéed mushrooms atop a filet or ribeye at Chops.

Wild mushroom soup and the ribeye.

did forget the crab cake???

The Kummelweck sandwich, if you are on a ship with a Park Café!

Thanks, I can't wait to try this sandwich!

The last time we sailed with RCCL was 2007. We only intend to eat for free in the MDR and Windjammer, so any other recommandation would be appreciated.

One thing to keep in mind, some of the items on the MDR dinner menu might also be available in the WJ that same evening.  Makes it nice to enjoy some of those items, while still having a nice, casual evening.

ok...so what is a kummelweck sandwich?  also, what are "savory bites" in the bread basket?  they aren't something always included in the bread basket in MDR?

It's probably the best roast beef sandwich you'll ever have! On some sailings they've been a little skimpy with the beef, but you can always order 2 :classic_biggrin:

My favorite on the ships, though, is the sweet cranberry breakfast bread - i have a total mind block of the name, but it's amazing.
