Secrets and tips of the Equinox

Going on the EQ Saturday. I saw some older threads so I wanted to create a newer one about all the secrets and rips there is to know.

Smoking isn't allowed inside the ship at all. Including in your cabin or balcony.

Smoking is usually restricted to deck 5 port side, pool area port side nearest to the aft, sunset bar port side and mast bar starboard side or at least it was when I was onboard and it was when I was on the Eclipse in November.

Deck 5 is usually the one that gets closed first if there is bad weather and on occasions I have seen it that the only place you could smoke was the pool area where it is sheltered to some degree.

you cannot save pool loungers. Any left for over 30 mins can have your items removed so others can use it

If someone wants to post the links to older  “secrets of Equinox” threads it would be appreciated. They’re probably mostly relevant until the ship is “revolutionized” in May. Thx

Sailed the Equinox(sixth time) in December, no more smoking in the pool area.

I'm on the Equinox as I type this.  The only place I've seen smoking is on deck 14 next to the Mast Bar.

Just off the Equinox two weeks ago.  On sea days, a light breakfast in the Aqua Spa café is wonderful...it's quiet, great service and wonderful to watch the Solarium fountains and sea from your table. 

 

The Gastrobar offers a pub menu (extra price) in the evenings. 

 

Silent Disco is amazingly fun! 

 

Enjoy all of the opportunities to meet Captain Kate and her awesome crew while they are still on board.

as I said in previous post, when I sailed her in Dec 18, they have eliminated the deck 12 smoking area.

As another poster asked, is there no longer smoking on the port side of the Sunset Bar?

speaking of smoking...We will be in 7287 which is Port side and pretty far aft..will the smoke bother us on our veranda 2 decks up and about 1/3 of the ship back?

There is still smoking on the port side of the Sunset Bar.

Plenty of cigar smokers at the Sunset Bar, they even sell cigars at the bar.
