I can't remember the details and trying to plan ahead. If I book a future cruise on board, deposit is $100 and you get $100 obc for that future cruise plus whatever promo royal is running? Is it $100 deposit even for junior suites or does it increase?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find any post on it.  What is the advantage to booking my next cruise while on board?

Lower deposit with a non refundable deposit of $100 per.  Advantage if you need to cancel or any changes to ship, itinerary, etc. only lose the deposit and not worry about getting/using future credit of $300  that needs to be used within a year for the add'l deposit amount ($500-$200).  Also, as mentioned the OBC that comes with the booking.

And if you reprice the cruise you booked on board you will lose the onboard credit...so if you gain casino discounts you really have no incentive to book on board.

If you upgrade or take advantage of a price drop you only lose any promotional OBC.  You should always be able to keep the OBC from booking on-board and your C&A OBC.

I can only speak to own experience.

I booked for August on board 2 weeks ago.  Emerald level C&A, suite, received $450 in on board credit.

Called last friday to casino to apply a casino discount and make final payment.

Received casino discount, lost OBC.

Ahhh. not familiar with that process.  Only my TA making sure RCI keeps my OBC.

Good luck in the casino, and enjoy your cruise.
