colesc15 Posted February 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2019 I can't remember the details and trying to plan ahead. If I book a future cruise on board, deposit is $100 and you get $100 obc for that future cruise plus whatever promo royal is running? Is it $100 deposit even for junior suites or does it increase? Clarea Posted February 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2019 You only get the $100 reduced deposit if you opt for a non-refundable deposit. The amount of on board credit varies by stateroom type and length of cruise.
Ourusualbeach Posted February 27, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2019 These are non refundable. The amount of OBC is less for refundable deposits
RobandLin Posted April 29, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2019 I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find any post on it. What is the advantage to booking my next cruise while on board?
steveru621 Posted April 29, 2019 #5 Share Posted April 29, 2019 Varies by C&A, cabin, and length of cruise. Your eDocs will have the complete breakdown of benefits.
dodgestang Posted April 29, 2019 #6 Share Posted April 29, 2019 And if you reprice the cruise you booked on board you will lose the onboard credit...so if you gain casino discounts you really have no incentive to book on board.
willing292 Posted April 29, 2019 #7 Share Posted April 29, 2019 Reduced deposit.

Advantage if you need to cancel or any changes to ship, itinerary, etc. only lose the deposit and not worry about getting/using future credit of $300 that needs to be used within a year for the add'l deposit amount ($500-$200). Also, as mentioned the OBC that comes with the booking.
crazyfrazee Posted April 29, 2019 #9 Share Posted April 29, 2019 Each of our cruises booked while on the ship were 7 day. Deposits have been $100.00 per person. After we arrived home we switched to a TA and took advantage of more discounts and still kept our OBC credit from RC.

If you upgrade or take advantage of a price drop you only lose any promotional OBC. You should always be able to keep the OBC from booking on-board and your C&A OBC. Emerald level C&A, suite, received $450 in on board credit. Called last friday to casino to apply a casino discount and make final payment. Received casino discount, lost OBC. Ahhh. not familiar with that process. Only my TA making sure RCI keeps my OBC. Good luck in the casino, and enjoy your cruise.
