HAL Visa points redemption question

Thinking about using HAL Visa points for a special bottle of wine as a surprise on second week of our cruise.  How will it be handled on board? A card when we board or will it just be in the stateroom?

I would suggest you redeem points for a beverage cards instead of the option for the specific bottle. 

The beverage card has either been with the key card at check in or in the cabin.

This way you can be sure they won’t screw up a surprise.

The beverage card just states it’s a gift from Barclaycard.

Just make sure you take a copy of the redemption email with you.

we typically redeem for onboard credits but I would think if you can choose a specific wine then it would be waiting for you when you arrive.
