Likely such a trip would involve three to six months on several cruise lines. EM

Hi Queenie!

   When I moved from Tucson to Sarasota, we used Happy Tails Inc.  Otherwise, flying would be your only alternative IMHO.   Happy Tails also did the Moving of my pets for Corp-wide moves from Poughkeepsie to San Jose, etc also so I would recommend them.

You should be able to fly your dog - that is what my SIL did - flew her dog from Germany to USA.

Nope; the only way for people and pets to cruise together is on Cunard's QM2, going directly between the UK and the US, and you have to pre-book kennel space for your dog (i.e. your dog can't travel with you in the cabin).  Well, it's the only way except for chartering your own ship.

Most people relocating will fly their pets, but that comes with some risks and it's not for every pet.

Only pets permitted are service dogs.

Welcome to Cruise critic, Cunard are the only ones I know with kennels, it would be better off flying.
