Hidden Gems/Local Spots

It’s been a LONG time since we’ve been away ((life & children)) and My husband and I love finding great local spots/hidden gems when we are traveling. Any spots that are easy to get to? Can be for drinks/happy hour, beach, or restaurants! Just trying to avoid the tourist traps. Thanks!

We snorkeled on our own at Eden Rock.  Short walk from cruise terminal.  Cemetery beach is less crowded then the main parts of 7 mile beach.  But there are no facilities.

Most/All good locals spots are only that way because they don't have to deal with dozens of our goofy tourist selves stomping around the place ruining the vibe. :)

that why I recommend Sunset House / My Bar

 

because being a lil over 1/2 mile from downtown it is WAY too far for most cruisers to venture

 

it is one of the places the locals go for lunch on a busy cruise day . . . . come down here for a snorkel or shore dive and it is unlikely you'll see another cruiser .... maybe some CREW who WILL walk here to get away . . .

 

I've been comin here since the early 80's ... friendly staff ALWAYS.

Are you saying that is only 1/2 mile walk from the cruise pier area?  Do they have chairs on the beach also?  Good food?

Sunset House has good food and good snorkeling but no beach.  Yes, it’s about a half mile or so from the cruise pier, but in the opposite direction as Seven Mile Beach
